Na, Joe and Dr. M traveled to Microbial Identification Inc. (MIDI) in Newark, Delaware for training on the new MIDI system we just bought for the lab.  We took an extra day and visit Dr. Jeff Buyer's lab at the USDA in Beltsville, Md. for some tips on how to perform the 96 well plate PLFA extraction procedure we will be using with the MIDI system to determine microbial community structure.
